Does your mind and body spend the first half of winter resisting…until it finally surrenders and starts to embrace this season?
Winter has an important role in our busy, modern day lives: it offers a rare opportunity to slow down, do less and feel more. As trees shed their leaves to conserve their energy and animals hibernate, we too should become more dormant – it is when we turn our energy inwards that deep change takes place.
In seasonal yoga, winter is governed by the water element which is connected to the kidneys and bladder. We will nourish and balance these areas of our body through gentle, RESTORATIVE POSTURES, creating a sense of security and stability so we are prepared and ready for change.
Listen to Lou guide you through a blissful YOGA NIDRA (yogic sleep). Thirty minutes of this deeply relaxing practice is equivalent to 4 hours sleep and let’s be honest, we could all do with an extra 4 hours shut eye in our lives.
Your yoga practice will be taken to a whole new dimension as you’re immersed in the HEALING SOUNDS of the beautiful hand pan, played by John Coleman from Soundscape.
Before you float out the door into the outside world, enjoy a herbal tea and healthy snack setting yourself up for the best night’s sleep
