Surfside Yoga is awesome! I've been having 1 on 1 sessions with Lou for six months now, and it has been a complete pleasure. I came into yoga with no experience and many injuries. Lou took the time to understand my body and devised sessions to build strength and flexibility, and rehab my injuries. With her endless patience, support and good humour, I am making huge improvements in my overall wellness. I cannot recommend Lou enough, thank you!
I have been attending Lou's yoga classes for a year now and as a result feel stronger and definitely more flexible.
Lou's classes are dynamic but nurturing with every session being slightly different - focusing on a new theme, season or emotion. She is a positive, calm and gifted teacher who gently encourages her students of all ages and abilities.
I have had no incidences of back pain since coming to her classes and I think I might even be a bit taller from all that stretching. Thanks for everything you have taught us over the last year and look forward to continuing our lovely Thursday class at the Coastal Environment Centre.
I was extremely lucky to have met Lou a few years ago, when I eagerly turned up to practice her flow class at Narrabeen Surf Club. I instantly clicked with her. I loved the intensity of Lou’s classes and also enjoyed the opportunity to find stillness in my mind and body.
After falling pregnant, Lou carefully modified her flow classes to cater for my changing body. I then started attending her pre-natal classes, which helped me to prepare for the upcoming birth of my beautiful baby girl.
Since then, I have been attending Lou’s Mums n Bubs classes. These have been the highlight of my week. I’ve been able to relax my motherly mind and stretch out my tired body with the company of other like-minded mums and my little girl.
Lou has the ability to connect with her students on an extremely deep level and always makes you feel supported. She challenges her students and also creates a yoga space where you can surrender and take time out from the busyness of life.
I am so blessed to have found Lou.
Louise's mums & bubs yoga class is the highlight of mine and Taj's week. Louise has the perfect balance between nurturing both mums and their babies who come each week. I highly recommend this class for you to connect with your baby and other like minded mums who love their yoga practice.
I attended pregnancy yoga with Lou at Healthspace and they were the best classes I've ever attended. Lou's friendly and warm heart makes you feel so welcome and at ease. She listens and understands your individual needs and caters for each person in her class. I always left each class feeling so much lighter and calmer and the tools she taught during her classes were so effective during my labour which I loved! Thank you.
Pre wedding yoga was a beautiful way to start my wedding day. Lou was great to communicate with in the lead up to the day and arrived with a positive and calming energy in the morning. She had a really hands on teaching approach and guided us through heart opening poses to help us through the big day. Lou adapted the class to suit all of my girls and there was a whole hearted connection between all of us. Thanks Lou!
I practised yoga every Saturday with Lou for about 6 months before I got married and I knew I really wanted to practice yoga on my special day. As the wedding was in the UK Lou made an audio recording so I could practice on the day. I woke up so early bursting with excitement and nervous about how the morning would pan out (as you don't get to rehearse that!) I put on my fave yoga pants and took my yoga mat into the lounge room and for an hour I was taken to a safe, calm and relaxing place. I felt like Lou and my yoga class mates were there with me, and it was so special! I felt refreshed and ready to take on the world. I can't recommend Lou's wedding day yoga enough - the best way to start such a special day!
Lou is one of the best instructors I have ever come across, both personally and professionally. In 2013 we approached her about teaching yoga at CrossFit Athletic and since then she has been our go-to yoga instructor for all corporate contracts, events and sports recovery classes.
Not only does she have a firm understanding of how everyday people move and feel, but she also caters for different levels always providing options to accommodate ability, experience, injuries and pregnancy, making all our members feel welcome and cared for.

Lou's pre-natal yoga classes are just wonderful - and the perfect blend of movement, rest, information and humour. I moved Heaven and Earth to be there each week, and was able to draw on the yoga practice and mindset during what was an amazing birth experience! We are now loving Lou's Mums n Bubs classes!
